Hot Wax Action is back… Hi! This is the first of two podcasts. The first is called “Warm It Up.” I’ll upload “Burn It Down” someday.
First I’m gonna get the party started with a bunch of classic funk jams. This is how I might go from 100bpm to around 125 over the course of an hour and get people all warmed up and ready to party.
And in the next installment I’m gonna go hard and fast and deep in the crates.

Here is a DJ mix for the blue moon. A bit of disco, some moody tech-house, some tropical percussion, and a couple of classic club jams.
It’s kind of moody because I don’t want summer to end. I hate September. I hate May and I hate September. I like February and July. Make it hot, make it cold, I don’t care. I just hate change.
I started making a vinyl mix and then I blew up my stereo by playing 45s at the wrong speed. So this mix was created in Ableton Live. Amazing what computers can do these days!

It’s 2AM. There’s snow on the palm trees! What is wrong with this subtropical, bullshit island. I have to get up in early in the morning because I know the traffic is going to be so funny. I’ve never seen a snow tire on Jeju. People don’t quite know what to make of the snow here.
